Apron

Well, ladies, I finally finished the apron I was working on. This is the one I told you all I was making from an old pillowcase. I think it turned out really well. I am looking forward to making more aprons from pillowcases. Now I need everyone’s opinion. I always pin these little tags on my aprons.

So now I am wondering what to say on the aprons made from old pillowcases. I think it would be neat for people to know their apron was made from an old pillowcase but then I’m not sureand if I did how would I word it?I would appreciate your ideas on this.

Have any of you ever seen a mushroom that looks like this? Hubby was mowing around the pond and found this one. We have never seen one before. It is definitely strange looking.

Anyway, here is Shadow doing one of his most favorite things. He doesn’t swim but he certainly loves to wade in the pond. I hope you all have a great evening and God bless.

  1. I was wondering what you decided on about the pocket. I think it looks great! Maybe your tag could say: Vintage Pillowcase Apron. That’s not very original though. 🙂 That is one scary mushroom! We have mushrooms all over. More than usual. The kids have an experiment coming up where they have to dissect a mushroom. They won’t have any trouble finding one. 🙂 Shadow is such a handsome fellow!

  2. I like your apron.. Such a great idea to recycle a pillowcase.. Vicki idea sounds perfect to me..
We had a huge mushroom here and it gave me the creeps.. grin…
    Your dog is so pretty..
    Blessings..

  3. HAHAHA..that mushroom is too funny! We have lots of armadillos around here and it looks like a dead rolled up armadillo *smile*. I have never seen one like that! I’d certainly be afraid to touch it. Let us know if you bust it and what is on the inside 🙂

I love that apron! I’ll have to think of the tag and get back to you..but I do like Vicki’s suggestion.

  4. That is a lovely apron. I can’t believe it was made from a pillowcase. You did a great job and I love the tag that you put on them.

Have a great evening with your family.

  5. Maybe you could say something like : Something old is now something new.

Just a thought. Anyway, your apron is really pretty. I always enjoy looking at your pictures. Have a great weekend.

    Blessings,
