Rainy Tuesday

Hello everyone! I hope all is well with you all. We are getting some much needed rain here in Floyd. It rained most of the night and is still raining. Temperatures are warm though. Over the weekend we got up to about 60 degrees. Amazing! Right now it is 40 degrees. I will take this for January weather any time.

We are working on school as usual. I love routine days. Days that we just go along doing normal stuff. Hubby hasn’t found any work yet so he is still working on learning how to make bowls. He is doing a really good job.

I want to give an update on the homemade dish soap. I don’t think I will be making it again. I’m sure it cleans good but I just do not like the fact that it does not soap up. I really like to see bubbles in my water when washing dishes. Oh well, it was fun making it.

Well, I think that’s about it. Piano practice is almost over and then book work begins so I better be getting ready. Enjoy your day and God bless.

  1. I would so love some warmer temperatures right now. Enjoy the rain.

Thanks for the update on the dish soap. I also like to see bubbles in my dishwater. Thanks for praying for us and I will continue to pray for your husband to find some work. His bowl is beautiful.

    Have a wonderful day.

  2. I can’t believe how warm it has been. It was 72 here on Saturday and up in the 60s on Sunday. We are getting so much rain. Our power flickered all night long. It was so bad at one point. Like someone was just flipping a light switch over and over. Quentin had to turn off the heat and unplug everything. I love routine too. You don’t know how happy I was for a new week!

  3. Hi Donna.. I wondered if people would like it without the bubbles.. That is why I add some of the Dawn to it but I guess that defeats the purpose except I find it makes my dishes much cleaner.. Must be the vinegar….
Glad you are enjoying your temps… xo

  4. We do piano too, do you have a book you like? If so we shall share fun things. I found one at a music store in the nearby city and am pleased with it, though the book is in the other room and I am very lazy tonight. *smile* Rain is a good thing! There will come a time when we won’t see it, or at least some of us won’t see it. I personally love rain and snow. *big smile* I don’t like to drive in the snow though. *smile* It’s a bit to uncertain for my liking and so many people slide off into the dich for my liking. Any ways! *big smile* I saw the previous pictues of bowl and spoon and they looked pretty to me. I hope he is able to find work to bring in some income soon for your family. Until then, keep enjoying the time you all get together. *smile* Oh, and it was heartwarming to see you check up note for me, thank you for making the time to check in on me AND leave a note…all to often we get too busy to leave the note too. *smile* Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!
