Here are a few more pictures from our trip Sunday. This little waterfall was very pretty.
See all the cracks in the rocks.
And last, just a little stream to listen to. So relaxing.
The girls and I went to Roanoke yesterday. They had a dentist appointment. After the appointment, we did a few things they enjoy doing. We went to Books-A-Million, which is one of their favorite places to go. We went to Sam’s Club to pick up a few things we needed. We then walked around a little bit in the mall. Joann’s Fabric had fleece on sale so we wanted to go by there. Grace will be making a top with it for her next sewing project with Mrs. Sally. We discovered that Joann’s was no longer there. We were very disappointed. We wanted to stop at Fresh Market to get some pumpkin spice coffee. It is a specialty coffee they only have in the fall. Well, we were pulling into the shopping center and one of the girls said, “Mom, look, there’s Joann’s.” Yea! So, Grace got her fleece and Mom got her coffee. Grace chose a red with white snowflakes on it. I think it will look very good.
I hope you all have a great evening and God bless.
Yesterday evening the girls convinced me we needed to take a ride around the farm. Grace took pictures for me. Thank you, Grace. First we start up the hill.
I almost forgot, first we must get Shadow in the truck bed with the girls. When he was a young pup, he would run beside the truck. Now he rides in the truck bed. He’s too old and too heavy to jump in the truck bed so we back up to this little incline, let the tail gate down and then he can jump in. He loves it. As soon as the girls climb in the back of the truck, he starts getting excited.
See how the fields are starting to get green!
A little stream in the field.
A view from the top of the hill. These are just a few pictures Grace took. I will show more later. We have sunshine today. We did get some rain last night but I think it has already passed us by. We plan on getting some more outside work done today. Maybe even working some more on our surprise. Enjoy your day and God bless.
This pretty little stream runs through one of the fields below our house. A few blue flowers are still holding on. Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Floyd. Today however we may get some rain. Pretty windy and overcast. The pastors sermon yesterday was on David and Goliath and facing the giants in our own life. It was an excellent sermon. Last nights menu was mostly leftovers from the “critter chompin”. We had a cornbeard casserole, potato cakes, green beans, baked beans, fresh homemade bread, chips and dip, and cake. We always eat sooooo good!
Today, hopefully, we will get some more of our apples worked up, along with school. I am doing laundry but it will have to be dried inside-so sad. I really miss hanging clothes outside. I think they smell so good. Well, I better get busy. Enjoy your day and God bless.
