No picture with this post. Just exciting news. Jessica is pregnant!!!!!!! Isn’t the God we serve amazing. Her estimated due date is early June. They are both extremely happy and of course MawMaw is too. More on that little tidbit later. About my selling day at the Fair. Not too good. I paid $30.00 for the spot and made $32.00. A big $2.00 profit, but at least I made that much. It was however a fun day. I met lots of different people and enjoyed lots of sunshine. And of course spent some time with Daniel. How much better could a day be. I’ve been shopping today so we are behind with school and other chores. I better get busy. God Bless.

I’m sorry I don’t have a picture to post today. Things have been very busy around here this week. We got to have some MawMaw and PawPaw time Tuesday and Wednesday. Those of you who are grandparents know that takes top priority over everything else. Daniel’s highlight of his stay was riding around the farm in PawPaw’s truck. Wednesday night was really nice. David, Jess, and Daniel went to the fellowship meal with us at church. Everyone (of course) was tremendously impressed with Daniel. Thursday morning brought water heater problems. We replaced both elements and thought our problem was fixed. We should have known better. Never does plumbing go that smooth. We left to have dinner with some friends of ours. We were blessed to pick some apples at their farm. We came home and discovered a hugh water leak under the sink. I mean really under the sink, between the dirt and the floor. The back part of our house sits directly on the ground so this presented a rather large problem. MY WONDERFUL HUBBY ( with my help) managed to get this fixed today. Also I have decided to attempt to sell my crafts at another festival. This one will be Oct. 3. This means I have 1 week to get more stuff made. Today after helping with the plumbing and putting poly on a cabinet we are making for ourselves, I finally got to do some sewing. I made a set of cloth napkins, 1 apron, and set up 1 lap quilt. Hopefully I will finish the quilt tomorrow. It is a Christmas quilt. I will try to post a picture of it when finished. Well it is late. I am tired. God Bless.

This picture was taken from the top of the hill, looking down on the back side of our house. The view from here is beautiful. As I have said before we are very blessed to live in a beautiful part of God’s creation. I’ll be getting me some MawMaw time this weekend(can’t wait). Of course he pays more attention to PawPaw than MawMaw but I don’t mind. I take whatever I can get. Temperatures will be warmer there so the girls are looking forward to that. Me, I kinda like the cooler temps. I really enjoy fall with the colors and of course the thanksgiving meal. I do however dread the below zero temperatures and the high winds that come with winter. Well I guess it can’t all be good. Have a good day and God Bless.

I must be getting soft in my old age. What was I thinking? We went to visit my oldest daughter this weekend. She wanted to get our grandson a puppy. We found some free and I suppose Dad and I gave in to the excitement of the moment and brought this guy home. He completely enjoyed the ride home(over 1 hour) in Julie’s lap so I suppose this means he likes to ride. He is lab and shepherd mix. We already have 1 large dog (chow and retriever mix)
He is an excellent farm dog and we want him to train Jasper to be a good dog also. Other than the puppy we also got some new clothes for the girls while shopping with Jess. Dad and David did some more remodel on Dave’s bathroom. Walls are sheetrocked and shower stall is built. Pictures of this can be found on Dave’s blog www.dlbates.com. We also received some much needed MawMaw and PawPaw time. I wanted to let everyone know my husband also has a blog he has started working on www.gdjg55.com. Check it out.
