Check out the size of this frog. He is huge! He was soaking up the sun yesterday afternoon in front of our car when we were leaving for piano practice. We, of course, could not resist taking a picture of him.

Yesterday was a nice day. Temperatures were in the lower 70′s with sunshine. My plants looks (maybe) just a little better but I do not think they will make it. The tomatoes look strong but the cucumbers look the worst. The squash may be okay-not sure yet. Lesson well learned. I suppose it was too hot when I transplanted them. Maybe if we had waited until the sun went down to transplant them, it would have made a difference. Not sure.

We had a nice visit with the Horn’s yesterday. We ate pizza and a strawberry crisp she had made from her fresh strawberries. It was delicious. We walked around her yard looking at all her flowers that were up. Her chicks and ducks. Everything. I love doing that. Just walking around with her looking and talking. I am so thankful she is my friend.

We hope to finish science this weekend. We are on our last definitions. Today looks to be nice. The sun is shining. The garden is still too wet to work in but we have plenty of other things to do. Enjoy your day and God bless.

We have kitties! The girls are so happy. These four belong to Stripes. Babies are always so exciting. Temperature this morning was pretty chilly, mid 30′s. Hopefully it will warm up and we will have some sunshine. We worked outside yesterday afternoon on the chicken run. It is almost finished. Then it started to rain so we had to hurry and put everything away. Oh well, every little bit helps get us closer to being finished with it.

David’s sister had her baby yesterday. I will post a picture as soon as I figure out how to get it off my email. She had a little girl, Emily, and she weighed 7 lb. 9 oz. They both seem to be doing well. As I said earlier, babies are so exciting.

Enjoy your day and God bless.

These shots were taken last summer. This is our home. As I have said many times, I think we live in a very beautiful part of God’s creation. Of course, today you would have to really look hard to find the house. It kinda blends in with all the snow. The snow stopped falling yesterday afternoon. It’s very pretty, but I thought maybe I would post something else besides winter scenes. I thought of flowers but decided to go with these pictures. Yesterday and today were snuggle in days. The girls and I watched the 2 disc movie of “Little House on the Prairie”. We watched disc 1 yesterday and disc 2 today. We enjoyed it a lot. We are big fans of the Ingalls family. I’ve worked on aprons and a little on Grace’s quilt/wallhanging. I love snuggle in days. Well, I think I’ll go play with my girls. God Bless.

P.S. I didn’t realize when I put the pictures on but they are almost the same. Sorry about that but as I lack the computer skills to fix this mistake I had to leave it like it was.

This picture was taken the other day when we went on our hike. Absolutely beautiful. Leaves were everywhere. They sounded so nice when we walked on them. Of course the batteries died in the camera before I got any other shots but this one is nice. On our hike we spotted a baby possum walking on a log. This would have been a great picture but the camera hung useless around my neck because we didn’t think to take extra batteries with us. Oh well, life goes on. We had a great hike and enjoyed outside time. Today is overcast and slightly chilly. Just enough to need a fire. George and a friend of ours from church cut wood yesterday afternoon. We heat this old farmhouse with wood and it takes a LOT of wood. If the rain holds off we will be splitting and stacking the wood this evening. Always work to do. Speaking of work, lunch break is over and time for school. Gotta go. God Bless.
