Happenings

Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a good week.

I wanted to show you all this awesome stackable planter I got at Dollar Tree. I first saw one of these a few years back on someone’s blog. I really like them. I am thinking I will put herbs in mine.

Another thing I have been doing is making bread. I hadn’t made bread in a few years. It feels good to make it again.

I am still crocheting. It seems to be a good pass time for me. Keeps my hands busy, which I like.

An update on the fridge disaster from the other morning. Dave came over yesterday and turned the water completely off to the ice maker. We plugged the fridge back up and it is working great. So no ice but that’s ok!

Look at these cute house shoes Retia got for Grace. Grace loves turtle stuff so these are perfect.

Speaking of Grace she took the plastic wrap off her tattoo last night and it looks great!

I guess that’s all for now. I hope you all have a great week.

God bless.

Grace’s Tattoo

When I asked Grace what she wanted for her 20th birthday, she told me she wanted to get a tattoo.  There is a tattoo parlor in Floyd that does excellent work. Grace drew the design herself.

Grace LOVES crows. They have always been her favorite bird. Maybe because we have so many of them here on the farm.

So far it has healed nicely and hasn’t been too painful.

God bless.

A Busy Morning

Good morning everyone! I am enjoying a nice cup of tea after a very busy morning. Before I tell you about my morning, let me tell you about my tea. One of my Christmas gifts from Jessica was a monthly tea subscription from Plum Deluxe Tea. I love it! All the teas I have tried so far are delicious.

Now on to my morning. I woke up this morning to go to the bathroom about 5. I start walking down the stairs and I hear water running. I think “OH NO”. I step in the laundry room and water is pouring out from the ice dispenser of the fridge. Everything in that room is soaked. I turned the water off to the freezer and started checking everything. Praise God most of the meat in that freezer hadn’t started to thaw yet. I only have one grocery bag to cook or can. I put all the rest of the meat in the big freezer and all the fridge stuff in the another fridge, unplugged the fridge and poured me a cup of coffee. I decided the rest of the clean up could wait until after coffee.🤪😜🤪

So it is all cleaned up now. I suppose I will have to find a repurpose for the fridge. It has really been a good one. It is an Kenmore brand, at least 25 years old, so no complaints. As of now, I am thinking to move it out to one of the old buildings and using it to store small tools in. I’m not sure yet.

That’s all for now. I hope you have an good week. God bless.

Painting

So yesterday we painted Jessica’s livingroom. Check out our helper. He had so much fun.

The finished product. It looks so good.

Seed Catalogs

My collection of seed catalogs for the year 2020.

I love seed catalogs. To me, they are a perfect way to spent long winter days. I received these in December but I have waited until January to start looking at them.

Things are really busy in December and I like to wait until after the Christmas rush to start looking at them.

I hope everyone has a good weekend and God bless.
