First Greenhouse Trip

I took this sweet boy for his first greenhouse trip this week. We had so much fun! So many questions ❤ He is holding the plant he picked out for his Mom.

I asked him what is favorite part of the trip was. He said “meeting new people”!

I think he was the highlight of the day for the people at the greenhouse. He talked to everyone we met! One of the workers even followed us to car to tell him bye. This is one of the many reasons I love living here in Floyd!

God bless!

Warmer Days

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having a great week. We have been having some really nice days here!

I have been working on getting the garden ready. It takes me quite a while to get it all cleaned up.

Both gardens are cleaned up now and ready to go. Dave is coming over Sunday to burn off the fence line. Then it will be time to start putting down mulch again. I love this time of year!

I spent some time with this handsome young man the the other day! Just look at how big he is getting!

I’ve been interested in trying square foot gardening in one of my raised beds. They sell these little templates on Amazon and other places but I decided to try to make me one instead of paying money for it. I think it turned out nice and am looking forward to trying it out this spring.

I helped Dave put up these shelves in the boys room last weekend. They look really nice. I was amazed though at how much building supplies cost now!

Look at these carrots! Katie and I planted our little carrot bed last spring. We ate carrots during the summer and fall. I just decided to leave whatever was left in the bed until spring. I have went up often and gathered carrots from the bed during the winter and was impressed with how well they were keeping. The other day I decided to go pull them and get the bed ready for spring planting. I was amazed to find that most of them were still good. I cleaned them up, shredded them and had 7 and 1/2 pints to put in the freezer!

We are starting to see signs of spring! I post a picture of these flower every year. We always look forward to seeing them!

I also hung clothes out on the line for the first time this year. They smell SO good!

Grace took these pictures the other day while on one of her walks.

Enjoy your day and God bless!
