Good morning! I hope you have all been having a great week.
Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day. Temperatures got up to the low 60’s! This was really nice considering for about a week our low temperatures were single digits. We had a small snow which was really nice but the temperature was really cold. We had some minor frozen water pipes but, praise God, nothing serious.
As it was such a beautiful day, I did a little work up in the garden. I am doing a little different garden design this year. I will post updates and pictures as the project progresses.
The trellis over the big swing fell over. This project has been moved over to my Dave to-do list as it is too heavy for Grace and I to move.
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day! Grace and I had a really nice Christmas.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NfRmTZqjemc&t=1062s I made Grace this cocoon sweater and fingerless gloves to match. The design is from the above link. I want to make her a hat to match but I have to get more yarn. I think she really liked it.
The rest of Grace’s gifts from me
My gifts from Grace. She made me the cute frog. I named him Walter. She got me beautiful yarn from Premier yarn. I have wanted to try their yarn for a long time. She also got me a $50 gift certificate from Hoss Tools and made the envelope to put the certificate in. I love it all❤
Juicy had a great day as well. He loves all the paper from opening gifts. He is now helping Grace put together her Lego set.
I made a peach pie using the crust recipe I posted yesterday. It turned out really good.
We haven’t got to do our Christmas with the Bates family yet. They are all sick! It felt so strange and sad to not do Christmas eve with them. We always exchange gifts and eat a wonderful meal together on Christmas eve. We are praying they get better quickly.
It is raining this morning and I am sitting out on the glassed in porch crocheting on my newest project and enjoying the sound of the rain on the tin roof.
3/4 cup water, 2 tbsp oil, 2 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp yeast
Heat water about 20 seconds in microwave. Add yeast and sugar. Stir until yeast and sugar are dissolved. Let sit about 5 min. If using instant rise yeast skip letting it sit. Add oil, flour and salt. Mix together well. Knead for about 5 to 8 minutes. Put into small loaf pan. Let rise until double in size about 1 hr.
I am not sure on the bake time for this. Estimated 25 min at 350 degrees.
