Hello, ladies. Seems like we have been busy here for the last few days. Friday, I worked all day (in my spare time) on aprons. I managed to get two finished. I took them down to the Bread Basket for selling. She had sold all my aprons except one. YEAH! This month is our month to clean the church and mow the churchyard. We went Friday evening to do this. Grace took this picture of the sky on our way over to the church. Hubby did the mowing and weed eating while the girls and I cleaned inside. Our homecoming is tomorrow morning and then our revival starts tomorrow evening. Here is a picture of the inside of our church.

Twice a year, our church sponsors a clay shoot at the Coonhunter Club here in Floyd. Today we had about 25 shooters. The girls and I stayed for a while and then we had to go to C-burg to buy ink. Monday we will be starting school and I needed a few supplies.

I guess I better get busy. We will be having a fellowship meal following services tomorrow. Enjoy your day and God bless.

Honey Vanilla Coffee Creamer

Makes about 2 1/4 cups

Whisk together cream, milk and honey in a medium saucepan over medium heat. When the mixture begins to steam, remove from the heat. Whisk in vanilla. Pour into a glass bottle and store in the refrigerator.

Hubby likes cream in his coffee. I usually buy this from the store. Today in my laziness, (I did not want to drive into town) I decided to see if I could find a recipe to make our own. I went to my favorite place, Google, came across this recipe and many, many more. I chose this one because I had all the ingredients. (Remember I do not want to drive into town). I’ll test it out tomorrow morning and see if he likes it. Anyway, I was very excited about finding this and couldn’t wait to share it with you ladies. I”ll let you know if he likes it. Today was spent doing a very fun project. Our gingerbread house. Last year the girls and I made our first gingerbread house. We decided it needed to be a tradition at our house. So much fun. Here’s a picture of our gingerbread house. Not competition material but great for our house. This will be our centerpiece until Christmas. When I do things like this with my girls, I can’t help but be thankful for our lives together. The laughter, the Christmas music, a warm fire. I am a very blessed woman and I thank God for his blessings. George had some work to do today so we didn’t get to go to Jessica’s this weekend. The girls and I are doing girl stuff today, the gingerbread house, some Russian Tea Cakes and maybe some peanut butter roll candy. Temperatures were cold again last night. 7 degrees when we got up this morning. Not much wind though so it doesn’t feel as bad as yesterday. The weather forecast says freezing rain for tonight and early Sunday morning. YUK! Hopefully it won’t happen so we can go to church. Oh well, I guess we’ll see what tomorrow morning brings.
