I wanted to share with you all this picture of Miss Katie. She is all dressed up on her way to her cousin’s birthday party. Ain’t she cute?

Sorry, I have no picture to share today. We went down to Jessica’s yesterday for Daniel’s birthday party and I forgot to put the card in the camera, so no pictures. He had a great party though. At this point, pirates are very big in his world so he had a pirate party. Now I’m getting ready to tell you what was (in my opinion) the best part of the party. Jess had bought “pirate sword and shields” for all the kids at the party. There was about 8 kids there. They are all playing pirate and here comes Daniel with a sword and a shield for MawMaw. “Come on, MawMaw, we got pirates to get”. So here we go around the house with our swords and shields ready. I am sneak attacked by a pirate. I said to Daniel, “help, I’m under attack!” Here he comes, so serious. “Don’t worry, MawMaw. I’ll save you”. Now how cool is that. All those kids to play with and he wanted to play with MawMaw. God is so good. Enjoy your day and God bless.
We have a slight breeze here in Floyd today. Well, okay maybe more than a slight breeze but not a hard wind. Just perfect for drying clothes on the line. When the wind is blowing like this, the clothes are so soft when they get dry. We had a busy weekend but lots of fun. The girls and I went to Sam’s Club Saturday and picked up a few things. Before that we went to one of our local malls and walked around, just looking. This is something we never do, so that made it special. They have already started putting up their Christmas stuff. It was so much fun. Yesterday was church day. The pastors sermon was very good. He compared being a soldier in the Armed Forces with being a soldier in God’s army. He did a really good job. Last nights menu was soup, pinto beans, cornbread, tator tot casserole, cooked apples and carrot cake. Very good.
Today we are doing Grace’s birthday party. We are going over to our friends the Horns to celebrate. Vicki is making the cake and I am taking some homemade chicken noodle soup. We are all looking forward to a great day. I know I have said it before, but we are very blessed by the Lord to have the Horns in our life. We so appreciate their friendship.

This is our progress so far. It has been a pretty big job. We finished grouting the tile today. I think it looks really good. I really like the color she chose for the walls. I think I like the bigger tile too. David will seal the grout, put on the base trim and get her washer and dryer back in the room. She is wanting to put lots of shelves in and also they are going to purchase a freezer to go in the room. I’ll take more pictures when all this is done.
We had a really nice time Sunday with our revival getting started. The pastor’s messages were really good. Sunday mornings message was about being cleansed and Sunday evening was about getting a touch from God. We left Monday morning to go back down to Jessica’s. She’s such a slave driver, you know.
My next post will have birthday party pictures, however I could not resist showing you these two today.
Ain’t he cute when he’s sleeping? He has an absolutely beautiful smile and smiles a lot. He is a very happy and content little boy.
This is a picture of pure love. I don’t think I have ever seen a little boy love his dog more than Daniel loves his “Buddy” or vice versa. They spend hours outside doing this very thing, just rolling and playing together.

I have no pictures to post today as I forgot the camera at Jessica’s. The girls and I came home to check on everything and wash some more clothes. We are leaving this morning to go back down. Hubby stayed at Jessica’s so he could get the drywall hung on the ceiling after David got in from work. They decided since the damage was so major they should just redo the entire laundry room. A redo was on the to-do list anyway. This just speeding it up a little.
Saturday was Daniel’s birthday party day. We had lots of fun. I have pictures of his party on my camera. I will post those next time, if I don’t forget my camera again. Well, I just wanted to let you all know where we where on the repairs. Enjoy your day and God bless.
