Highlight – Merry Heart Crafts

Saturday we went to http://www.sciworks.org It was a lot of fun. We have visited several science centers this summer and for me this was the best. So much hands on activities for everyone. I did remember to take my camera, however, I didn’t think about batteries. Therefore no pictures of all the fun stuff inside. You can tell though how excited Daniel was to be there by the picture I did get.

Yesterday we went to the http://www.greensboroscience.org.

We have been there once this summer but not since they put in the aquarium. It was awesome!

So much to see and do!

The highlight of the visit was touching a stingray!

You can’t really see him but Sam is in there too and Katie even got in on the action. First time for us to “pet” one. Another first for me yesterday was touching a snake. Not sure if I want to touch another one or not but it was not near as bad as I imagined.

Ain’t that two beautiful girls!

Yesterday was very nice here. Wonderful tempertures, beautiful sunshine. Our church sponsors, once a year, a sportmans banquet, or as we call it a “critter chompin” It is a lot of fun with lots of good fun. We had a guest speaker who brought a good message. We also had some funny stories but of course the highlight of the evening was the food. We really didn’t have much wild “critter” though. One bear dish, mostly deer and just regular food. I took tuna cakes, homemade rolls, a molasses (stack) cake, and some hot cider. There was so much food it would be impossible for me to name it all. I’m so sorry you missed it, Dave.

Today has been another beautiful day. I think though the forecasters are calling for rain the first of the week. I think I better hurry out to my “green swing” and enjoy the beauty that God has created. Take care and God bless.

Daniel is having fun on his new swing set. I think it was the highlight of his weekend. We had a great visit. Lots of good food and sunshine. The temperature was extremely nice which made for an easy time hiding and hunting for eggs. Temperature here is nice too. Mid 70’s. I love it. Flowers are popping up everywhere. It is so exciting! Miss you, already! We are back from our visit. The weather was beautiful, 58 degrees when we left this afternoon. Pretty nice here too, 45 degrees. The sun is shining and lots of snow has melted. We actually have a front yard now. Our little man was sick this weekend. He has the same thing Julie and Grace have had. YUCKY! However, as we were playing in his toy room this weekend, he looked up at me and said “I love you, MawMaw”. Well of course my heart melted. I have tried since he began talking to get him to say that, and just like that he says it. No prompting from me, nothing. Just straight from his heart to mine. Everything in God’s time. That of course was the highlight of my trip. We had lots of great food to eat, did some shopping. I found the girls a dress for piano recital at Goodwill. Could not find shoes though. Hopefully we will find some before the recital. It’s time for us to leave for church. I just wanted to share with you all my sweet words from my special boy. Take care and God bless.
