Flowers

I thought I would share some flower pictures with you all.  This picture was taken at the Bread Basket the other day when I delivered the aprons.  These are a type of sunflowers.

I’m not sure what these are but they are pretty.

All these pretty flowers surround her store.

In the fall, this is one of my favorite wildflowers.  I love the brightness of goldenrod.  I think goldenrod and ironweed mixed together makes a beautiful bouquet.  However, I couldn’t get a picture of ironweed to show you.

And, of course, this dainty little daisy.

Our homecoming this morning went very well.  Our guest singers did a really nice job. Our pastor’s message was about home, our real home, Heaven.  Then we had a wonderful meal with all kinds of good food.  Tonight will start our revival.  I have not heard our guest speaker before.  He will speak for all 3 nights but we will have different singers every night.  I am looking forward to hearing both speaker and singers.

I have a question for you ladies.  Remember last week when I made the hot pepper jelly.  Well, I have never had this happen before but for some reason, it did not set up.  Any ideas about what I could do?  I have thought about opening all the jars and re-heating it, adding more sure jell.  What do you all think?  Please let me know any ideas you may have.

I hope you all have a great Sunday.  God bless.

  1. The flowers are so pretty. I really like those sunflowers. Our neighbors field is full of goldenrod-fall is here for sure. Sounds like you will have a great week at church. Hope to see you all soon.

  2. The flowers are beautiful. You got some really pretty pictures. I hope that your aprons sell quickly.

I have never reheated any jams or jellies, so I am not sure what it will do. I guess you can try it with one jar and see how it goes.

Have a great week as you start school and have the revival meetings.

  3. Beautiful flowers! The second one is called Lantana. It is about the only thing that I can grow in the summer that can take the heat/humidity. Butterflies LOVE it too ;- )

Have a blessed late summer evening.

  4. That must be one beautiful store! If the outside is that pretty then she must have some really nice stuff on the inside! I’m not sure about the jelly. I had that happen last year and this year I used a box of surejell plus a few tablespoons of another box just to make sure it jelled. I read somewhere that someone else did that..just to make sure it set.
