Canning Beef

Good morning everyone! I hope y’all are having a good day. On Thursday, we decided to can some beef at Jess’s. We had so much fun. For information purposes, it takes 2 lb. of beef to fill a qt jar. I took my electric canner over and we used it. I think she really liked using it and may be wanting to get one for herself.

We did 5 qts.

I absolutely love this electric canner!

We also had a great helper. John Luke packed the beef into the jars for us. We call the thing he is using a chaucer. My dad whittled this for my mom probably 80 years ago. I love having this to use. So many good memories!
