I thought I would share a few pictures with you all of what it looks like here this morning. We had some snow fall during the night and then the ice came. We have some wind and lots of trees are down because of the ice. So far, we still have power but I’m sure lots of people do not. We have water collected in buckets for just in case. When the power is out, our pump doesn’t work.
These two pictures were taken looking out from the dining room window.
We are snuggled in for the day, staying warm and having fun.
Enjoy your day and God bless.
Your ice pictures are beautiful! We look a lot like you do(I posted some pics too). 🙂 I filled the bathtub with toilet flushing water, made dish and rinse water, and filled jugs for drinking and washing hands. Our lights have gone off twice but thankfully came back on. Quentin started a fire before he left and brought in wood. He amazingly made it to work today! I am cozied in for the day with the kids! Doesn’t today feel more like Christmas?
We need to get together soon! I think Quentin is off this Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. And he is off the 1st too! He is never off on Jan. 1st and we have been trying to think of what you are supposed to do to celebrate, lol! I guess the celebrating actually happens on New Years Eve. 🙂 Let me know if any of those days look good to you. I will make potato soup.
