Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a good week so far. Last week was pretty busy for us. Seems like VBS is always a busy time. Our theme this year was “Hip Hopping for Jesus”. The kids all seemed to have a great time.
Julie dressed for the part. All the workers dressed in 50’s style. I somehow didn’t get a picture of Grace.
We enjoyed our moon last week and finally (after years of trying) managed to get a good moon picture. Our place was so bright at night, we had a cat bird that sang all night. I guess he didn’t know if it was night or day.
We have also been enjoying some of our fresh produce from the garden. So far we have had salad greens, green onions, beets, radishes, carrots, yellow squash and a few cucumbers. We love it!!
I hope you all have a good evening and God bless.
It’s good to hear that your VBS went well. I agree, it’s such a busy time and though we did have a good time it’s nice that it’s over. smile The moon picture is wonderful, nice job. smile I have yet to get a good one of the moon though I got some fun ones a while back with our family and the moon, it was neat. smile When the big moon was out we had clouds all over the place so it’s fun to see what others got to see. smile Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures with all of us. Have a great week this week and enjoy the slower pace. smile Sicnerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!

VBS sounds like it was a hit. I love the picture of Julie! Your garden goodies look great. We are going to pick our beets tomorrow and pickle them. Today we pickled our peppers and did one pint of dill pickles. Your moon picture is fantastic. It was hard to stay indoors at night with the moon being so pretty. I went ahead and ordered chicks today. I only ordered 50 though. Much more manageable if I end up keeping them all. My total was $41 with shipping if you happen to want to half the price and birds with me.:) I also just remembered I was supposed to send you the whole wheat waffle recipe so I am going to dig it out in a few minutes so I can.
I can’t wait to see you all on Wednesday!

I remember when I was a little girl the family over the road had VBS at their home. I always enjoyed going. They do still have it at the Baptist church in town but it is not the same thing. It was so much more personal at someone’s home. ( thank you of reminding me of that fond memory)
Your veggies are coming along good. And speaking of good, I made your dumpling recipe and yummy! Thanks again for sharing and have a wonderful week.
