I took these pictures about 2 weeks ago. Believe it or not, everything is covered with snow here right now. Our temperature is 15 degrees with a wind chill of zero. Our winds are about 20-25 mph. 3 inches of snow fell yesterday. Definitely winter weather.
But I know this won’t last much longer. Spring is just around the corner. You can feel the difference in the air. Well, maybe not today but other days you can feel the difference.
Saturday we went down to Jessica’s. We planted some onion sets, lettuces and cabbage for her. That was a lot of fun. At least, I got to get my hands in the dirt. Maybe next week, we will work on getting one of our raised beds ready for early crop plants. I want to plant peas, onions, cabbage, lettuce, radishes, and beets. Makes my mouth water just thinking about all that fresh food. I love it!!
Well, that’s about it-not much going on! Enjoy your day and God bless.
I can’t wait for spring to get here for good. I planted peas on Saturday now they are under the snow, lol. I think I will plant a few more just to be safe. I have plastic to cover my beds. I hope that helps. I will let you know what other day Quentin is off next week, and maybe we can get together that day. Hopefully it will be a nice, warm day. 🙂 I want to show you the kids and our neighbor’s donkeys.

Oh my word, Donna.. I just can’t imagine flowers or planting right now.. We are in a hurricane type blizzard and can not see across the street.. It is truly bad when everything is shut down in Eastern Canada but it is and they are afraid for the coasts.. I keep wondering about our old cottage by the sea.. Oh well.. Spring will return sometime.. smile.. God bless.. xo

Those are pretty. We mowed our lawns today. It is nice to have some things growing. We have a couple more things to plant in our garden.
Have a wonderful evening and stay warm.

These are great pictures. I’m sure by now you are close to being done with snow for the winter, but the water on the ground is such a blessing. smile We didn’t get much on the ground this winter and our land is naturally dry so your snow sounds wonderful. smile I’m glad you got to get your hands in the dirt and that you all got to help Jessica out a bit. smile Have a lovely day. Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!
