Hello everyone. Today is the first day of 2018. Amazing. It has been really cold here for the last couple of days. Lows in the single digits with wind chills below zero. Now I definitely am not a fan of cold weather but it does have it’s good points. One of which is getting to cook on the wood stove.
Grace took these pictures of some visitors here on the farm.
We have all been sick here but I think we are finally on the mend. It has been rough.
I love looking at seed books. I am glad I had just got these. It has really helped pass the time.
I made this cake to take to our Christmas dinner at Jessica’s. I got the recipe from the Elliot homestead. It was my first time using a springform pan. I really liked using the pan and the cake was delicious.
Grace just took this picture of the moon. Beautiful, isn’t it!
I hope you have a good week and God bless.
That is an amazing shot of the moon! Sickness and cold seem to be everywhere. The flu has been running through our extended family (thankfully we didn’t catch it!) It’s been cold here also. It was -4 at noon today and they are saying record breaking temperatures for tomorrow. Yuck, but it’s to be expected in winter.
I need to browse some seed catalogs to bring some sunshine into my life!
