Strawberry Lemonade Concentrate
https://www.ballmasonjars.com/blog?cid=strawberry-lemonade-concentrate
This is such a great drink to have on hand. We love it. I substitute a 3 pound bag of frozen strawberries for the fresh and use bottled lemon juice.
I’m sure fresh ingredients would be better but using frozen strawberries and bottled lemon juice cuts down a lot on the cost of making it.

Garden 2024

Good morning everyone! It’s time for garden updates! The birds are all happily singing! I think these tree swallows are beautiful birds.
The rhubarb is ready to harvest. I have already harvested from the other one. We made rhubard mint tea. It was delicious!
Early peas, carrots and radishes. Katie helped me plant this bed.
Cabbage
Broccoli
Kohlrabi. I started all these from seed in February. So far they are looking very good.
Oregano
Mint
Red Russian Kale
Green onions. Ignore the weeds!
Spinach
Lettuce. I’m having a little bit of a problem with my lettuce germinating.
Blueberries
Grapes
Raspberries
Wild mustard
My new little sitting area. I love it!❤ That’s all for now. Enjoy your day and God bless.

Seed Starting

Good morning everyone! Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you all have a great day.
Today is exciting for me as I am starting the first of the 2024 garden seeds!

The cabbage seeds I started,

Broccoli and

Peppers!

I also wanted to share my newest garden bed I made. I really like it! I will be making another one just like it to go on the other side of the table and chairs.

I finished Grace’s hat. I am giving it to her as a valentine’s day gift. I made the pom pom myself. I am very pleased with how it turned out.

Jess sent me this picture of Daniel the other day. Just look at how grown up he looks!
God bless!

A Great Deal

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a good day.
I wanted to share what a great deal we got yesterday. I am planning on building two new raised beds this year up in the garden. We went over to Christiansburg to Home Depot to get some supplies I needed for the raised beds. And we found this!!!

I could not believe it! I never come across this type of savings.

We got 10 bags of the soil❤ also got the other supplies I needed and

Grace got us some paint for the kitchen. I also stopped by Dollar Tree and got some flower seeds.

We ended our trip with a treat.

God bless!

Another Beautiful Day

Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a good day. Our weather has been beautiful here today.

One of my favorite things to on days like today is to work in the garden. Today I removed two old tires that I was using as flower beds.

I also worked on cleaning out some more raised beds.

Beautiful day!

Good morning! I hope you have all been having a great week.
Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day. Temperatures got up to the low 60’s! This was really nice considering for about a week our low temperatures were single digits. We had a small snow which was really nice but the temperature was really cold. We had some minor frozen water pipes but, praise God, nothing serious.
As it was such a beautiful day, I did a little work up in the garden. I am doing a little different garden design this year. I will post updates and pictures as the project progresses.

The trellis over the big swing fell over. This project has been moved over to my Dave to-do list as it is too heavy for Grace and I to move.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NfRmTZqjemc&t=781s&pp=ygUPYmFnb2RheSBjcm9jaGV0. I used this tutorial to make myself this cocoon cardigan.
I also made Grace this hat.

That’s all for now. I hope you all have a great weekend. God bless!
