Today has been a very beautiful day here with lots of sunshine. Temperatures are in the upper 50’s and the wind has finally laid down. Very nice. We had planned on going to the Horn’s today after school but Grace is getting a sore throat. So we decided not to go. Hopefully, it is nothing serious and we can go over there on Thursday. That’s the plan anyway.
I have found a new curriculum for school and was wondering if any of you all were familar with it. It is http://www.clp.org/christian_light_education It seems pretty good and I am thinking of going with it for math especially. Their teacher books have the solutions to the problems, not just the answers. I need that especially now as we are getting into geometry and alegbra.

I have heard good reviews for Christian Light. I haven’t used it myself but I have checked into it. The weather here has been in the upper 70’s! It looks like we will be skipping spring here and heading right into summer. I’m not exactly looking forward to blazing heat while waiting on the baby to get here. LOL. I hope Grace is feeling better soon.

The maple buds are beautiful. When we first decided to home school the kids, I did look into Christian Light. I liked the reading program. Then we ended up being accepted into IDVA, so we ended up not using it.
I like the Saxon math and bought some of those as review for my kids. I like how they constantly are reviewing previously learned concepts.

We did Christian Light Education a few years ago. My son learned to read using Christian Light. I LOVED it.
We have never used it for the upper grades though, only in the early years.
Our trees have started to bud as well, as have the blueberry bushes. We have to keep a real good eye on them beause any kind of frost/freeze would mean no blueberries. We still have a good chance of a freeze/frost this early in the season.
