Crazy Cucumbers

IMG_0654

Look at these strange looking cuc’s!!  I am not certain what they are but they sure look strange.  I haven’t tried any of them yet so I can’t tell you all if we like them or not.  Tomorrow I hope to make bread & butter pickles with them.

This week has been busy.  George had his appointment on Thursday for bloodwork.  Everything looked good except he does have another urinary tract infection.  She started him on antibiotics.  He is scheduled to begin his 2nd round of chemo on Tuesday July 15th.  We are praying this round goes as well as the first round did.

He is gone this evening with some of the men from church.  They have went down to the shooting range to shoot some clays.  Even though he can’t shoot right now they still call him to go with them.  He so enjoys the fellowship.

Well, that’s about it.  Time to get some supper ready.  I hope you all have a great Friday and God bless.

  1. I tried a burbless variety of cucumber this year and they look a lot like that. I have one on the vine and I left it thinking it should fill out some more. Maybe not??

That it sweet of the men to continue to invite George. Having a good support system is a huge help!

  2. Hello. My mom used to get some funny looking vegetables when we lived in the grass seed country outside the little town of Harrisburg, Oregon. She has always prayed over her plants and sometimes the Lord gave her some pretty neat looking things similar to what you showed here. smile When I did remember to pray over my garden and for a large harvest I was richly blessed, though my garden spots outside are always a blessing when they grow as I tend to forget to water things. small smile Have fun with these and thanks for popping in to see what I’ve been up to too. It’s nice to see that you have time to stop by. smile It truely makes me smile. smile It is good to read that your husband gets invited to do things with the guys for a bit of fellowship outside of Sundays. I hope his infection heals up quickly and that the second round of chemotheorpy goes just as well if not better than the first round. Have a lovely day. Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!
